The freak-show element he brought to boxing. When Don King first brought him over to the states, he was a spectacle. ESPN couldn't stop talking about him.
His fight in USA against Monte Barrett was an awesome fight! Was back and forth for a lot of the fight, and Valuev finally bombed him out.
Poor Valuev HATED being referred to as "Beast from the East," and "Russian Giant." He is such civilized man, who writes poetry, and is of very high intellect. Lol but the perceptions of him as a brute neanderthal beast is what he had to play up to keep selling tickets.
There was an incident where a Russian security guard was messing with his wife or something, and Valuev had to put him in his place. Valuev referred to the man's behavior as "typical Russian boorishness" LOL!!

i really don't think Japan, China, Korea can produce elite level athletes anymore because of their heavy soy diet.
pregnant mothers eating soy while carrying their baby boys. this depletes their testosterone level pre-birth. then feed them soy products during puberty.
it's absolutely detrimental to a boy's testosterone production because soy is the most estrogenized food source on earth.

A century ago the U.S. economy was weak and people had to work harder to survive. Boxing was one of the biggest sports and there was no money in basketball, football, etc. Jack Dempsey as a young boy was living on the streets and fighting grown men just to afford meals.
Russia is full of slums, plus they're getting into the boxing game now because it was banned in the past. The athletes in the U.S. and other countries are getting rich in other sports. It's about opportunities and the Russians don't have as many choices as the West does.

nope loads of Koreans are descendants of siberians(mongols). do your research.
but it's okay the modern koreans are so far removed from the warrior genetics due to their castrating diet, it hardly even matters anymore.

In fact Mongols did not exist until a little before Chinggis Khan and their ancestors may have lived on the steppes but they certainly weren't Koreans. Where are you ppl leasing this stuff from? Trump University? This is horrible fake history. Koreans and Mongols don't look the same, don't share the same culture, don't share similar DANA, come from different parts of Asia, don't speak the same language. How the hell are they similar?
