    In reality boxing only needs 7 weight classes?

    & same day weight in & 1 champion per division.....IMO


    Make Boxing Great Again - Trump

    These would be the weight divisions.

    -126lbs Featherweight

    -135lbs Lightweight

    -147lbs Welterweight

    -160lbs Middleweight

    -175lbs Light Heavyweight

    -200lbs Cruiserweight

    -201+ lbs Heavyweight

    Sounds great to me. I could see flyweight at 112 too, but it wouldn't be necessary.

      True, but I honestly don't mind the extra weight classes as long as the best fight the best within a division..

      Without the extra divisions, guys like hatton or tszyu would never have the careers they did... too big for lightweight, not big enough for welter, but were dominant at 140
