Brook vs Spence is starting to remind me of Brook vs. Vargas, Alexander, Rios, ect...

The fight was agreed to a month ago. Hearn still hasn't set a date or a venue. There are three possible dates he's looking at, the last two weekends in May & the first weekend in June. He says he doesn't want it to interfere with soccer dates. Aren't those dates already set? Not sure how it works over there but over here professional sporting leagues set their dates almost a year in advance.

Vargas was still waiting on Brook a month after signing his end of the agreement to fight. Then the date was changed from September to October. Then Hearn pulled a rabbit out of his hat and made the Brook v. GGG fight.

Looking at Brook's history we know we can't count on him fighting a tough fight until he's actually in the ring.

Not saying the fight isn't happening but considering the history of Brook there may be some cause for concern.

Theres a slight chance Sheffield United could be in the football promotion play offs on May 20th, dont think he wanted to clash with that date, potentially 45,000 Sheffield fans in London. Today hes said hes waiting for council approval to have it in Sheffield, probably the 27th, should be fine. If not he has the O2 in London booked for June 3rd, as backup

Yes it's interesting that they agree but still no date and other details ironed out yet. No doubt they have history of saying fights are done only to pull out later on. For example with the khan Manny fight falling apart what's to stop khan or cotto, ect saying hey I'll fight you. I wouldn't be shocked if they still vacate and this fight doesn't happen.

Still hoping that Kell brook would vacate and move up? Yep, so that you can keep on calling spence a monster and all that "avoided"

When will we know if they're playing on the 20th or not?

yeah, they would love nothing more for brook to vacate. They'll start backtracking i reckon when the fight draws closer, start having second thoughts about spence and doing damage limitation posts.

I believe it's because they're wanting to do it at Sheff Utd's stadium but they book it in for when the football season finishes and also they have to get clearance from the councils, local police and all of those things, with it being at an outdoor venue and whatnot, it's a bit different to an arena show and the UK laws mean you have to get everything cleared by local government and local police and everything like that, it can take time. It's not like just booking an arena with all it's own staff and security teams.

I'm pretty sure that Hearn never got clearance from Everton and their local authorities for Bellew to fight at Goodison park until about 5 or 6 weeks from the fight.

I'm sure it will get sorted soon.

This has nothing to do with Kell's history of pulling out of fights? Including one less than a year ago. I gave clear examples of Kell doing this before. You can't count on this guy to take tough fights until he's actually in the ring. That's not my opinion. Those are the facts from looking at his history
