Thurman's punches are wide /rangy rather than fast and crisp.... Manny can read and anticipate those punches.

And even now, PAC's footwork is quick enough to avoid most of those shots. If Pac can withstand Thurman's power, Pac wins.

It'd be a good matchup. Pac will get hit by some overhand rights and a few body shots. But I just can't see Thurman outpointing him.

Thurman's defense has holes that Pac would exploit. Thurman does have mobility, but he gets hit still.

Nice article, this is a fight I'd love to see and, as you say, would be one last hurrah for Pacquiao.

Taking a scalp like Thurman's at this stage of Pac's career, at his age, would really enlarge his legacy in my view. Obviously he's already a 1st ballot Hall of Famer with a terrific legacy, but still. This cements it even further.

Interestingly, if this fight got made it would be for the same belts Pacquiao-Mayweather contested (WBC/WBA/WBO). The winner could then fight the winner of Brook/Spence early next year in a massive four-belt blockbuster. Providing the sanctioning bodies play ball, that is.

Thurman-Pacquiao, Brook-Spence... I like the idea of this mini-tournament. Garcia can fight one of the two losers in a title eliminator of some kind. Would be good to finally get some clarity on who the best welterweight in the world is.

It would have to do at least 2 mil PPV buys for Bob to agree, so this won't happen.

Would be an excellent idea and it was supposed to happen a few years ago until Floyd got them all locked in wanting a payday with him.

Hope the boxing world listens to you that mini tournament idea would be awesome, so bad politics make it so hard.

Also i wonder if the betting odds would be in favor of Keith, im guessin they would at around -200, i would still favor an old pacquiao to be honest

Nice fight, but it likely won't happen. Most likely though, Errol Spence Jr is the best welterweight in the world, and will prove it. But time will tell.

Have you ever heard Thurman want to unify all the belts at 147?
well he was so shy to impress the crowd at his last fight.

do you watch pac-morales 1. i watch it live on TV, it was my first time saw pac's fight. dont even know how to pronounce his name, i was avid Morales fans at the time when the fight is over i was Pacquiao fans. i'm sure thre are many feel the same way.

if you gave it your all and impress the crowd you will still get the glory even when you lose.

well i maybeinclude it in my reply to you but you're the one who first brought it to this thread in the first place, it just not replying to me. and i maybe not partcipate on the discussion back then but i read articles bigpoppa posted here, or quick search on google will get all the information i need. the different is you gobble up every word Floyd and Ellerbee spew, pacitard gladly use every words of Pac and arum as their new bible.

is really one of the funniest thing watching you guys bickering over this negotiation back then, Is comedy gold.
