So does this win move Lemieux past Charlo in the WBC rankings? Lemieux was #4 and Stevens was #3.

Eric Gomez said if wins early he could be on the Canelo/Chavez undercard. Maybe they match Lemieux with Heiland?
    Charlo better hurry.

Lemieux has a middleweight crossroads bout with Curtis Stevens at Turning Stone Casino in an HBO main event and Gamboa makes his return after a 15-month layoff against Rene Alvarado in the HBO co-feature. “There’s a chance,” Gomez said of Gamboa fighting on the Canelo-Chavez PPV undercard. “We’ve discussed it. There’s a possibility that Lemieux, if he has an early night, could fight there. The only fight we have right now (on the PPV undercard) is Matthysse,” he said, referring to Lucas Mathysse’s welterweight return against Emmanuel Taylor. “There’s a couple of slots open still,” Gomez went on. “And we’re going to leave them open purposefully. Any one of these guys can fight.”

Lemieux is proven 160 fighter. Charlo has proven nothing in this division so far.

It aint even about bias, I'm an Andrade fan and if you check my recent post history you'll see that I said the same about him bragging about the Culcay victory as if he's a legit world champion when Lara is the real WBA champion. Same with Jacobs. He aint no world champion.

Dude Vargas had a world title when Manny beat him, but you don't see no one hyping up Vargas as if he's some destroyer like you GGG nuthuggers tryna tell us that Lemule is world class.

If Lemule is world class and a great victory for GGG then what is Andre Berto seeing as he's a two time world champ and also has a loss to a bum (Soto Karass)? Was that a great victory for Mayweather or does this failure of a logic only apply to GGG?
Berto is a good win, probably better than Lemule.

But maybe because GGG isn't ranking himself his own record over Ali's or Robinson, he's not getting trashed for fighting the Bertos of the world and past it of the world.

Let's see if Floydie can bring a win half as good as a win over Frazier or Foreman like Ali grabbed.

No hating seriously, in fact Charlo is one of my fav fighters, I love his style.
Maybe against GGG, but Canelo. Hell naw. Charlo has the tools and is more than capable of exchanging and winning against Canelo.

People also used to claim that Haymond fighters never fought each other too. Turned out to be a big a$$ lie.

No, Charlo will be tested against one or two solid middleweights and then he will fight GGG.

Charlo is gonna want like 3 million when this fight comes around. Good luck with that, HBO can't afford anything but boxing after dark shows apparently. They might as well just let GGG fo fight on fking CBS or NBC and get some more exposure.

How about giving Charlo credit by not comparing him to freaking Wade and a freakin guy two divisions lower. G is what 35?? And Jacobs will be by far the best opponent he has ever fought. Who's the best he has fought so far??? Murray? Honestly?!? Yea, Charlo is a heck of a lot better than anyone G has ever faced as a pro. He coulda made five times by signing the contract to fight Canelo. Instead he jumped on the chance to fight a WW. And now, he is facing Jacobs who is good, but still not as good as Canelo. Which is why he's fighting Jacobs instead of facing Canelo for about five times the most he has ever made. A freakin 35 year old finally stepping up a little bit. Baby steps, huh?
He's fighting him because it's a manditory defence. If he doesn't hell be stripped of his title.
