I have not seen the contract. It would have been sent to K2, not to Golovkin. Whether or not I have common sense is open to debate. I don't know where I fall on that one, but I do know that I have signed several thousand contracts covering a full spectrum of services, over the years and have negotiated a dozen or so labor contracts. Granted that there is a chance that all boxing promoters and their lawyers are idiots, but the way it works on planted earth is that one of the parties sends a draft contract, which includes all possible conditions and consideration to the other party for signature or revisions. In boxing, this may include the ring size, types of gloves, venue location for the fight, all monetary considerations, disposition of risk, the venue where disputes are litigated and so on. This process is called negotiation. When both parties sign the documents the negotiations are finished. The result is legally binding at that point. To your point, a VALID contract can only exist when the parties sign the documents. Before that point, there are only written changes going back and forth, all the changes and *********s are tracked so either side can go back to review a previous version. BTW Golovkin was technically correct when he said there is no contract. There can't be until all parties sign. It is obvious that he has not signed, but to conclude that a so-called "contract" has not been sent has no basis in the reality of the business world...at least not on planet earth, but again boxing might be full of morons. Though I doubt it. Regarding my agenda. I guess it I will have to conjure one up. I don't want to be the only one posting on this site without one ---any suggestions? One more point. I don't mean to contradict you, but nothing about contracts is simple to understand.

You are right of course, but I thought it might be helpful for some folks to get a handle on contracts. Part of the confusion is the language we all use. For example it would have been helpful if de lahoya had simply said that they sent over a generous contract proposal for approval. Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

Once again Abel during interviews for Jacobs fight interviewer asked him Golden Boy says they have sent you guys a contract and have not gotten a response from you guys. Can you speak on that? Abel ducks the question refuses to deny they have a contract refuses to deny the amount that's been reported. And months earlier admitted to getting an offer from Golden Boy

Yet GGG contradicts his trainer and promoter who admitted to getting an offer and refuse to deny it exists or the amount reported. But GGG saying send me the contract I'll sign it.

The more I think about it GGG is just a puppet because he has been contradicting his own promoter at every step. First his promoter says we have no problem giving Canelo the A side to make this fight then a week later GGG out his own mouth says I want 50/50 deal. Last year says Canelo will duck him by giving lowball 2m offer. A few weeks later Golden Boy says idiot we already offered you 8 figures so why is GGG talking about low ball 2m offers when his team has 8 figures offer? Now acting like no offer is on his bosses table all together.
