Comments Thread For: Frank Warren: Gervonta Davis, Like Lacy, Will Return Without Title

When Gervonta Davis burst onto the global scene and parted Jose Pedraza from his IBF world super featherweight title back in January, the commentators and pundits were lavish with the praise and plaudits over the exploits of the Baltimore ****er. Terms such as a star is born' and the future of boxing' were bandied about but, as far as I'm concerned, his future in the company of that IBF belt will be a short-lived one.

Davis is going to beat on Walsh. I really hate this type of promotion becauseb y comapring Walsh to Calzaghe, you're just setting the poor kid up for an absolute demolition.

Jeff Lacy is a bigger deal over there than he is over here. Is there a national Jeff Lacy day?

It remains to be seen if Davis is better than Lacy or not... but one thing is for certain, Walsh is not Calzaghe.

They really know how to touch a nerve. Jeff Lacy was the greatest American boxer to have ever lived and Americans are still tender about that subject to this day. If Lacy couldn't beat a British fighter, no other American ever will. That's for damn sure.
