    Weird thread... but absolutely true. The glutes are a big generator of punching power. Helps you push off the leg. That's ass-power baby.

        Of course.

        The lower body/posterior chain is the root of all power and explosiveness. Strong quads, glutes and hamstrings will take athletes much further than anything upper body related.

        There's a reason strength coaches at the highest levels of all sports prioritize the posterior chain.

          Tommy Hearns and Alexis ARguello had skinny legs but could crack

          Julian Jackson hardest hitter had skinny legs or not super thick legs or butt.

          I think for wrestling having a thicker leg base is more important for a sprawl and for takedown or tackling shoots.

                  lol not in boxing. its usually the skinny wiry boxers who have the most power. we have seen plenty of musclebound boxers who cant crack an egg.
