Comments Thread For: Bellew Believes Haye Was Humbled By The Shock Defeat

Last Saturday night at the O2 Arena in London, Tony Bellew believes that he humbled his bitter British rival David Haye with a shock 11th-round win in a non-title heavyweight fight. Former World Boxing Association world heavyweight champion Haye suffered a torn Achilles tendon in the sixth round, leaving him an easy target as he stumbled and limped around the ring for second half of the fight.

Ehhh he was humble for about 5 minutes after the Klitschko fight, too, but it doesn't last.

Whenever I get bored I run over to YT and watch David Haye sipping on Pina Coladas, working the mitts on a yacht somewhere in the gay French Riviera with his lover Shane McGuigan leading to this fight. I thoroughly enjoyed the savagery that fart-catcher endured.

Haye was obviously injured. I hate Bellew even more now for thinking he beat Haye fair and square...

He couldn't even knock out a guy with one leg...

Now I'm disappointed in the injury but Haye already backed himself in a corner with statements before the fight that he wouldn't pull out or blame an injury to please the fans despite the torn Achilles being real. You've got to feel sorry for him and that's exactly the reason why he won't blame it on injury - he learnt from the Toe injury comments and he already said he shouldn't have said anything even if it was true. Fans can be horrible at times and this would be no exception so he stayed quiet in the hope that people would figure it out and we did. Good job. Haye still plasters Bellew anyway even at his sliding stage of his career.

David Haye sucks!

David Gay's leg literally turned to spaghetti. They cut it open and there was beef and noodles in there. But even before the injury happened he looked weak and soft. He's just not the same fighter anymore. Briggs would've put him on his knees with body shots.

Yeah i saw the pictures yesterday, gosh not sure how he carried on fighting. I actually think he wanted to quit in the 6th round as soon as that happened. But his trainer didn't let him. If he was in there with a real HW, he would have been taken out within the next 2 rounds after that injury.

I've been on Bellews twitter and there's only like 1% of people that actually believe he beat Haye.
