I'm talking about the ******s on this site. Its an intriguing fight but Gamboa's inactivity will hurt him.

I'm all for this fight. Loma beats a guy who, let's admit it, can box, and Gamboa gets a big fat stoppage L. Do it.

Gamboa needs a few fights, at least two, before to make it more interesting.
I think they should have Gamboa-Corrales then the winner faces Loma. That would be interesting. If HBO can have a double header. Loma-? and Gamboa-Corrales sometime over the summer then have the winners face off late in the year.
Corrales is a p*ssy for turning down a career high payday. I wouldn't be surprised if he also doesn't want Gamboa.

Next fight how about a fight with Roman Martinez, Miguel Roman, or Tevin Farmer.

Loma vs Gamboa by years end would be more realistic. But not next
I don't think they mean 'next' after this weekend. Probably your schedule layout is more realistic anyway.

Lomachenko wins, it'll sadly be his first "OK" opponent tho

I agree but like someone else reminded me Gamboa is like 35 years old??? What other choice does he have???

GAMBOA WOULD HAVE BEEN THE BEST WAY TO OPEN UP THEIR FIGHT SCHEDULE ON ESPN2..... THE FUTURE OF BOXING IS ON FREE TV... PBC AND HAYMON HAVE CHANGED THE GAME.... HBO PPV HAS BEEN KILLING BOXING AND NOW PBC IS KILLING THE PPV MODEL.... WILDER VS WASHINGTON PEAKED AT 2.5MILLION VIEWERS AND THURMAN VS GARCIA PEAKED AT 5.1 MILLION VIEWERS.... THE MORE EYE BALLS ON BOXING THE BETTER FOR THE SPORT....
Think of it from this perspective Golden Boy Promotions right now has 5 guys who they can sell to HBO as headliners obviously Canelo, then it drops to guys like Vargas (who's out till later this year, Jo Jo Diaz, Lemieux, and Gamboa. With Linares and Lucas being big questions.

They need ESPN 2 to develop the likes of Quigley, Ellis, Roach Jr., Orozco, etc....to develop there marketability to eventually see to HBO or other networks.

Simply put they don't have the quantity or quality of guys yet to afford to put on the ESPN2 platform as championship quality fights.

PBC has more guys and money. They can afford to see guys like Garcia or Poster lose because they have a lot of talent to subsidize those loses. Golden Boy Promotions doesnt.

True. Ortiz has lost steam it seems since he has left Golden Boy. Hearns is on a fight by fight basis.

However if he does get a Parker, Wilder, or Joshua fight next it shows he's progressing forward but as of now it looks like a mistake.
