    DSG vs Campbell

Looked like a big showcase PPV for GBP fighters. Kirkland ruined it with his upset, Maidana almost got derailed by Morales. Garcia couldn't close the show against an old Campbell. Guerrero vs Katsidis, two guys who couldn't hurt each other. Ishida was pretty much the man of the night, followed closely by Maidana vs Morales.

Trying to lower the bar for next saturday?

Regardless of the numbers, ticket sales, ppvs, whatever... it's one of the best fights that could be made right now, and we need more like it.

But it does kind of suck, the utter lack of promotion for this fight. The two best MWs on the planet, fighting for three belts, you'd think HBO and PBC could've chipped in on some commercials or some shít.

If anything, this will prove once again that the ppv model is not the best way to keep the sport relevant.

I gotta imagine Mayweather vs Berto is up there when you consider how much Floyd was paid versus how much the PPV made. If two guys are paid a million each and the fight generates a couple million its not really a flop.

They called they card "action heroes".

They were trying to capitalize on the popularity of super hero movies at the time.

No wonder Haymon cant build any stars with ideas like this.

That Maidana/Morales fight was surprisingly great, very underrated action brawl, because no one saw it haha.

I'm not sure how much Haymon had to do with this card tbh. I believe only Garcia was a Haymon fighter at the time. The rest were strictly GBP fighters. Guerrero and Maidana weren't Haymon yet.
