Comments Thread For: Arum: No Way Will De La Hoya Risk 'Cash Cow' Canelo With GGG

I agree, Canelo is down to fight but Oscar won't risk the man making 110% of his income

Arum is saying this because that';s what happened with Pacquiao. Arum/Pacquiao didn't want to risk it against Mayweather.

Even when Bob makes sense it's tough to be on his side.

          He's also speaking truth.

When those financial reports were released during the Haymon trial, we found out quickly that Canelo's success isn't only significant for Golden Boy it's vital for their survival as a company. Canelo accounted for 107% of Golden Boy income in 2016. Without him they are literally nothing.

The likelihood of Canelo losing fans if he were to lose to GGG is quite low. But there's a chance he takes a lot of damage in that fight and isn't the same fighter afterwards.

So naturally, Oscar is a bit reluctant to match him tough. That's why we're getting these low risk fights with Chavez Jr.

Which Arum pretty much alluded to.

Bob arum is getting bitter in his old age. He's spent the last few months taking shots at HBO, PBC, Canelo, and Golden Boy because the boat is passing him by. Golden Boy, K2, Duva, Roc Nation are getting HBO dates ahead of top rank fighters. He's mad that Canelo has passed Pacquiao as the biggest draw getting HBO PPV dates whenever he wants while they are turning down Pacquiao PPVS. PBC basically put his Tru Tv deal out of business and Golden Boy just signed a deal with ESPN. What is Top Rank doing? He's the odd man out and that's why he's lashing out at others.

Fighters are jumping ship Mikey garcia, chavez, cotto, and now nonito. Crawford looks like the next fighter who will jump ship. He's got some young fighters but no networks to showcase and build their fanbase.

Arum is right, maybe he heard me make the claim, smart man.

I've been preaching these facts since before Kirkland. Sadly it is way deeper of a scam Canelo and Delahoya have been getting away with to the casual fan not just name dropping to build hype or only taking safe fights there's the hoops there making opponents jump through luckily the opponents have me for answers on how to dunk the ball I gave Chavez the answers he needed earlier I have one for my man GGG but it's probably worthless as arum said but what hurts most my father grew up like a mile from where Canelo is from and being taught boxing from him as a kid he always said in Guadalajara we grow up with heart and balls real tuff guys so when Canelo calls out GGG after Amir Khan was nothing but disgrace to everything I grew up learning and a slap in the face to Mexicans everywhere not to mention real boxing fans or fans of Canelo a real coward or a real sellout. I'll stop there, but really people should have known better the sissy sellout won't fight real champs in the 154 Division for how many years and you thought he would **** with a very serious champion from 160???

Canelo is the boss not oscar. Oscar works for canelo. Canelo can go to any promoter. Oscar does and says what canelo wants. If the fight dosen't happen it's because of canelo.
