My wife had never seen Bellew before in her life but even she instantly got the joke when he went off in the post fight speech. He's just being a character.

TBF, Bellew was almost fighting on even terms with Haye even before the injury.

He was pivoting and then sitting down on shots in the pocket as he timed Haye's ambush attacks.

Haye was definitely winning, but the fight was tense throughout as both came very close to landing fight-ending shots.

Bellew did very well in his HW debut.

And like other posters have said - he's just talking shyte, he's always been like that, well before the Haye fight.

Let him enjoy his moment. Reality will chin-check him soon enough if he treads deep into HW waters against the sharks.
