I lived in the Middle East for many years and was always skeptical about the chances of this getting off the ground as:

a. Khan is not a big name there;

b. Manny is obviously idolized by Philippinos and whilst there are plenty living in the UAE, the locals dont give a **** about them; and

c. The economy in Dubai is very bad at the moment so hosing money up against a wall on a fight that doesnt involve a local was always unlikely

Khan is only a name in Pakistan and that is completely irrelevant as they haven't even got a pot to piss in.He is hated in England.

I never commented on the proposed pacquaio & khan fight because i never thought it would happen....who in there right mind are gonna pay pacquaio 38 million against khan who has lost and beeen koed in every major fight in his career......pacquaio is a ring legend but his time is done now as well and i have no interest in seeing him fight again...the new crop has came through with the spence's ,lomachencko,joshua,crawford,gervonta davis and we have still the golovkins,kovalevs,thurmans,micky garcias and many more to move on withoit the pacman....step aside pacquaio
