Great fighter, I couldn't stand him early on his career but he grew on me as time went on. That beaten he took from Cotto and the heart he showed that fight will stick with me.

He was a skillful fighter that was let down by a sever lack of power but that makes what he achieved and who he fought even more impressive.

so he's great because he showed heart? dont think so. he has 2 mediocre wins(3 if you count faded juan diaz moving up) and thats it. how does that make him a great fighter?

Maybe you should highlight the rest of my comment before asking you're question..He's great because who he stepped in with despite his obvious deficiencies in the power department. He's given plenty of top fighters a really competitive fight all while knowing he is unlikely to stop them, but they can very well knock him out.

To even have a single 12 round fight should demand respect, given 99% of guys on here have never fought a 6, 8 or 10 rounder.

So basically, unless you've fought at that level or above, by all means criticize the fighter, but do so in a respectful way, acknowledging that you've never reached the same heights, or remotely close.

That's what i mean by keyboard warrior.
IOW, everyone whos doing OR has done ''something'' should be 'd ?!?!?!? never room for criticism ?!?!?!? every actor, actress, performer, director, athlete should never be ''booed'' ??!?!?!?!?

PHEW........... didnt think that was what you were saying. you were just in the mood to call someone a kbw. im glad paulie is done. 1 less mouthy yapper. one more beating and con will hopefully follow him.

How many feather-fisted fighter do you know who have become champions at 2 weights? How many of those have been in so many dangerous fights? Add to that being competitive in those fights? He was Never supposed to fight those guys because he was never supposed to achieve what he did. 16% KO's in his fights, let that sink in.

Paulie did a great job trying to show boxing ability and skills. He wasn't a good puncher yet he still had the heart to fight, that should be admired but on this forum the majority of the "fans" would rather degrade! Of course those are the same individuals that Paulie would kick the sh*! out of!!!!

I give everyone that steps through the ropes credit, are they all equal, NO! They do step in and right there is the difference between the negative posters who degrade and Paulie.
Paulie's got the balls and the posters are the cu#!'s.

Good luck Paulie, I think he's better than most at ringside commentating.

ps; the real Magic Man was welter world champ Marlon Starling!!

                    See ya Paulie

not one of my questions answered. he was nothing special or magical. opportunistic as hell though.

                      anyway

he had to eventually fight dangerous people just like everyone else. no power ?!?!? oh well. want your opponent to wear pillows ?!?!? promise to hold back and limit the mount of times he hits you to less than 10 ?!?!? what concessions do you want to compensate for your lack of power ?!?!?!
