    Great article Thomas.

"He reached a level only 1% of boxer make it to"

I have a dream one day keyboard warriors that have done nothing with their life respect lionhearted boxers who win world titles (yes, talking to you sadiqkingof****sucking).

Pauli made the most of the talent he was given ---a gutsy over achiever. He faced some hard hitting beasts knowing he lacked the power to keep them at bay. That takes huge cojones! I am glad he retired before his brain got scrambled and wish him well in the broadcast booth.

Do you know what kind of heart it takes to step into the ring knowing that you have about a 5% chance to K.O. a dude that has about a 100% chance to knock your block off? Pauli has A+ heart and A+ intelligence to say the least. Its a shame he had the physical attributes of a C+ fighter but despite that always showed up to fight. It takes nothing away from you or the other great fighters in the sport to give the man his due.

You know WHO'S mad, mad at paulie for being truthful, human beings do not get "growth spurts" at the ages of 29-30. He's a boxer so he's a boxing insider who knows more than forum posters. People hate jose canseco and talked all kinds of sh|t about him for eventually learning that he was telling the truth. People like him are the reason for boxing, he showed that you dont have to be the strongest person in order to win a boxing match. But I'd bet the house that he'd still ko connor mcgregor and beat him from pillar to post in a boxing match. lol

i remember Malignaggi losing his fight against Cano but getting a gift by being declared the victor by SD. And in his next fight against Broner another SD but against him was an act of justice.

Paulie was an entertaining fighter even with his feather fists. my first time seeing him I was like who is this slick white kid with the braids? good boxer, good showman. happy for him to achieve his dream and come out with his senses.

Meh, nothing special about his career. Good career, but not something looking into. Had some entertaining fights, and was in one of the worst ass whoopings in boxing, good career but not something to be look on.

He beat Juan Diaz and Zab Judah, who were good fighters, and he went on the road to knockout Senchenko for the WBA Welterweight Championship of the World.

These are not things that C+ level fighters do.

Yes, he had had C+ level physical skills, but A+ heart and A+ intelligence.
you make it seem like he was a good fighter. over 10 years he stretched out a couple marginal wins and turned that into a career where he was the main event fighter at least a dozen times or so. malignaggi is not a main event type of fighter. never was. boxing is a zero sum sport. there are only so many slots open and he took them from much better fighters simply because he was american, had a name, was annoying, etc...the belts he won were from 2 of the weakest champs prob ever. he even should have lost to guys like ngoudjo and cano.

Never went after WBOgus or WBA "regular" titles.

Talked a ton of ****. Fought every big name willing to fight him. Won some. Lost some. But always kept it real and always spoke his mind.

Now we get to hear him at ringside for many years to come.

                      WAR MALIGNAGGI
which big names did he beat? juan diaz and zab i guess but those guys were well past their best. diaz had lost 2 of 3 and was moving up. judah had lost a million out of a million. all the prime guys destroyed him with ease. even some of the fringe guys like ngoudjo and cano beat him but were robbed so paulie could get more big fights.
