Paulie had a very good career, definitely an over-achiever
what does pacquiao have to do with him being a crappy fighter? even if he said pac was the greatest fighter ever that wouldn't make him good.

a very capable fighter with balls of steel and a HUGE heart

a real character with a compelling personality

a pity he couldn't sign off in style, but he is past his best which was never top shelf anyway

      a HUGE underachiever

look forward to hearing Paulie call the shots for a long time to come

and no, he will never shut up about Pacquiao
every time someone tries to compliment paulie they always say backhanded compliments like this. he wasn't that good but....he didn't have great skills but....he wasn't a top fighter but....

but he had heart? that makes someone great? eric crumble had heart. you try getting knocked out 30 times in a row for 50 bucks a fight and step into that ring for a 31st time....what do you think is going to happen? at least paulie made 10 million dollars over his career.

Hope he stays that way, fought some great opposition with such limited power and still got results. A real fighting man IMO! I'd have given up a decade ago if I knew I could not hurt anyone, that's a struggle.

because its easy to keep doing something poorly if you are being paid handsomely for it. hence my eric crumble reference. got knocked out 31 times in a row for 50 bucks a fight. paulie hung around because they kept giving him big fights that he didn't earn. i dont how thats having heart. its just taking advantage of a poorly designed system. good job for paulie but for the fans who knew he couldnt beat anyone good it ******.

bullsh-it. you would not if you were making a million dollars a year. you would fight some bums, build yourself up to a bigger fight, get mollywhopped, and do it all over again.

Honestly, money is slavery pal, I would never expect a complete fool like you to grasp that.

Paulie is despised because of disparaging comments he made toward Pacquiao, not for any other reason.

he suffers from Sergio Martinez syndrome, because he dared to punk the wrong guy..... same with Ward

and it takes a lot of courage/self-belief to face killers when you have brittle hands..... Crumble was just ******

Always enjoyed watching him fight. Did a lot with what he had. Wish him a happy post-ring career, especially as a commentator..
