Mediocre fighters don't win national amateur titles, and they usually don't win pro world titles. Mediocre fighters also don't travel overseas to beat an undefeated champion at home. They don't make millions of dollars fighting and commentating. His career has been anything but mediocre. You don't have to like his fighting style or personality, but give a man his due credit.

he was the definition of mediocre. he wasnt a tomato can bum but he wasnt close to the top of any division. he won world titles off of 2 of the worst titlists in boxing history and there are 4 world titles and twice as many divisions now then in the past. not something amazing when you have guys like broner winning 4.

he traveled overseas to fight a completely unproven fighter who somehow was given a belt in one way or another. this guy never beat a top 10 fighter. the only 2 he faced crushed him with ease so its safe to safe snchenko was a product of cherry picking your way to a belt which is common in this era. paulie just cherry picked the belt off of him.

yes he made millions and some of it deserved but some of it not. why keep givign him big fights and main events when hes clearly not a top fighter? because hes a name that people know? that dont impress me much-shania daggum

If he was European, every American would call him a bum. So what if he had world titles? We have many organizations, mediocre boxers win titles nowadays.

Paulie was entertaining, won world titles in two divisions, and gets payed to travel the world talking about the sport he loves. Not a bad deal. For those disrespecting him, I have to ask: How many boxing titles did you win? Does anyone pay you for your opinion about boxing (or anything)?

Considering his limitations as a fighter, he's done great things. Cong**** on a great career champ.
