You know what, you're right. I need to accept that not everyone will go for broke and try to give the fans what they want like Morales used to do even when comfortably winning the fight.

Some fighters will switch southpaw, jump into a firefight in the last round of a pretty clear win and stare into the abyss of chaos by trading blows with a demon.

Others will prance around and comfortably coast into the sunset. Its all good. A win is a win either way.

I respect both of them for getting in the ring and proving who's the best among two champions. Cong**** to Keith Thurman for getting the win.

Speaking for myself, I'm disappointed in how ordinary they both looked. It became clear that both Keith and Danny are solid fighters, but are not elite. I wanted to see one if not both of them elevate to the next level and it didn't happen. Not in skill, not in star power. It's unfortunate how content they seemed with the situation. Two undefeated champions fighting on free T.V. This could've been a breakout performance, but it was an ordinary fight, by two good fighters, who seem satisfied with just being good.

        Their trainers didn't help either...

Angel Garcia: "He can't win running."
Actually, you can win by "running." It happens all the time

Dan Birmingham: "Fight Smart. Fight Smarter. Fight the Smartest."

There was no sense of urgency from either fighter. Keith did enough to win. Danny did enough to lose.

I'm really not upset with either fighter. I'm disappointed in myself for expecting more out of these two than what they're capable of.

It certainly wasn't a great fight. I enjoyed watching the fight and seeing the skills of two of the best welterweights matched against each other. There was some hard hitting and exciting rounds mixed in with some rounds where not much happened. I thought it was a decent fight. Neither fighter took too many risks because of potentially deadly punching power of their opponent. What I liked the most is Thurman was a clear winner and the rude, arrogant team Garcia are now ex champs and out of the spotlight they love for at least a while.

It was a decent fight, but not the classic Ray vs Hearns Showtime was hyping it up to be. I thought Thurman could have won more convincingly in the championship rounds, but I blame his trainer who insisted "stay smart, box" even when the fight was in the bag.
