There is a case to say he was already injured and didnt want to pull out again I suppose. The guy is extremely injury prone it would seem, and its more than likely hes done at top level even if he does comes back.

I mean where was the power, even a clipping shot back in the day would of taken out Bellew. He did miss like 90% of his power shots due to wild swings lol, but the odd ones that did clip Bellew didnt seem like they did anything.

He just completely fell apart. The rematch "if" it happens may be the last time we see Haye.
According to Booth, he feels Haye hadnt been sparring for at least 2-3 weeks, he also said thats how Haye normally fights when he starts camp, when his timing is a little off....and he knows Haye inside, out

He was basically implying Haye was injured weeks prior to the fight and i agree...he probably needed an operation, but had to wait until after the fight

Haye tried to wing it, he couldnt call it off, it also might explain why he was so angry in the last few weeks, normally Haye is all smiles and dancing, he looked like a man who was not himself

But he's come out of it with a lot of respect, most of the feedback for him is very positive, unlike when he lost to Wlad

It's no coincidence that there was chatter about Haye having a dodgy achilles before the fight. Just how bad it was, I don't know - but it wouldn't be shocking to learn that he had a partial tear of some sort that just blew out.

I dislike David Haye for a few reasons, but man, the guy showed some real guts fighting on like that.

lol, I honestly didn't even know Haye was still alive! Huh, I thought he killed himself or something after the one Klitschko beat him up. He must have sunken really low getting knocked out by pub fighters. lmao, I like it, he was always nothing but talk anyway.

Lucky for Haye the feedback he is getting on IG and Twitter and all over the gaff is amazing, basically the way he fought has rejuvenated his reputation

He lost yes, but he fought like a champion

Also those PPV numbers were impressive from what i heard, Haye still is the most lucrative HW in the UK, when he is matched up against a decent name..

The Brits love a loser, aslong as he gives it everything and puts his heart on the line...If Haye can get himself together, he can go for that rematch

People on Boxingscene will not understand, because most of you dont live in the real world....Haye just brought himself back from the dead...won his respect back in the UK, now if his leg heals, he can give it another try

Put it this way when Fury beat Wlad, he didnt get half the praise Haye is getting. Even Jousha hasnt got this kind of praise....you have so many women on twitter and on IG calling Haye "Brave", he has the casual market in his pocket. You rarely see birds talking about boxing....Jousha vs Haye would probably have broken all kinds of records

I hope so. HW boxing needs a shake-up, as these big men are all talk.

As they say in football (soccer to the yanks) It's a funny old game.

Haye losing to a fat cruiserweight has resulted in him being respected to a level, never seen before. Why? because different words came out of his mouth and he showed heart.

Hes always had heart and he's always been a decent guy,.

'It wasn't meant to be for me that night but I couldn't have tried any harder.

'I was gutted when Shane McGuigan threw the towel in, but he's my coach and I respect him and his opinions.

'When they opened up my achilles it was like spaghetti, it was a mess.

'Maybe it saved me for another day because if I'd carried on putting weight on it, it would have got more and more mushed inside.'

                  ----
Shane McGuigan isn't someone I rate as a trainer but he's a young pup and Haye could have stayed silence, but nice touch to mention Shane McGuigan as the kid has been questioned from all corners, not just on the standard of his coaching, but his role that evening.
