But then Floyd adjusted to loop a right hook around Cotto's guard and land at will, just as manny adjusted to cottos defense and counter by feinting a straight left to upper cut, which hits cotto since the second round from then on. Thurman just doesn't have the ring IQ that either of these fighters had.

I don't know about not having the IQ, Thurman is a thinking fighter through and through, and he tends to know when guys are trying to set him up with counters. I just don't think he possess the tools. Even the overhand right that he'd have going for him in this fantasy match up, Mosley threw it better in 2007 and Cotto took them well.

Even though I couldn't stand Cotto's hype, I wouldn't pick against him with the current crop of welters we have.

Thurman is a good fighter, but I would have to take Cotto if this is prime for prime. Always loved that left hook to the body.

Cotto would knock him out within six rounds easy. **** for all that Mosley would have knocked him out. Thurman is not that great . Atleast imo, I thought porter beat him.
