Thurman just doesn't have the ring IQ that either of these fighters had.
I don't know about not having the IQ, Thurman is a thinking fighter through and through, and he tends to know when guys are trying to set him up with counters. I just don't think he possess the tools. Even the overhand right that he'd have going for him in this fantasy match up, Mosley threw it better in 2007 and Cotto took them well.

Even though I couldn't stand Cotto's hype, I wouldn't pick against him with the current crop of welters we have.

Thurman is a good fighter, but I would have to take Cotto if this is prime for prime. Always loved that left hook to the body.

Lets do it now. If I am Cotto I jump at the chance of winning Belts 1 more time at 147. If I am Thruman I jump at the chane to put my name out there. This is a Money fight and its what Roc Nation wants. A PPV fight for sure.

A prime Cotto wrecks the Thurman that fought Saturday.

Problem is Cotto has not wanted to fight at 147 for ever.

It's only my wish he sacrificed the body for that fight.

Cotto was very good at cutting off the ring and his body work was incredible. I'd take Cotto via decision

Cotto would knock him out within six rounds easy. **** for all that Mosley would have knocked him out. Thurman is not that great . Atleast imo, I thought porter beat him. And jell brook would beat him. Spence I'm not sure only because he hasn't really fought no one except algeiri and knocked him out.
