AJ if he gets past Wlad. The heavyweight division isn't exactly buzzing, but there are enough interesting fights to keep people's attention. It's just a shame the Yanks don't really have anyone except Wilder.

It could still be Canelo. Even if he lost to Golovkin, I think he could still be the biggest seller in the sport. Golovkin himself can move to a new level if he wins, but I'm not sure he could be 'the face of boxing'. Maybe if he annihilated Canelo. That would make him a big deal to the Mexican audience too.

Aside from that I'm not sure. Loma is very good, but who's he going to beat to launch himself as a star? There doesn't seem to be anyone, except maybe Mikey Garcia, but Mikey isn't that big yet either.

Crawford looks like he might be good enough too. He would need a win over Pac and he would have to back it up with more of a public profile. Possible I guess.

Spence is a definite possibility if he beat Brook and Thurman. He has a fan friendly style, he's in a watched division, and he's American. Thurman himself? Maybe. But he will have to win a lot more impressively than he did on Saturday night. That might be harsh, but it's realty.

      Canelo

He has the huge fanbase, the good looks, and a great PR team

he'll still be the face of boxing assuming he keeps fighting and beating good fighters and looking good while doing it

even if GGG beats him, his popularity will still be there

I live in USA and nobody knows AJ whatsoever. Everyone knows Canelo though and they want the lil g fight.

AJ isn't good at marketing and lacks marquee wins - he's got a big chance coming now and then maybe the windmill maker later in the year or 2018.

The face of boxing is Canelo's to lose atm

Answer is probably right here. Whoever makes the best moves and/or wins the biggest fights is going to be the guy.

I think AJ is good enough to beat anyone in the HW division. If he keeps on winning AJ will be the face of boxing.

              Who's your pick?

Alvarez and Lomachenko if he picks up English and continues to move up and take on formidable names.

                  Canelito isn't good enough

Who is he going to beat?

Wilder has a better chance than AJ.
