I agree. I was wondering why an elimination bout is even in the bracket

Haha I fully agree but I just put in all the scheduled matches. Ideally, since Lamont has the strap, it could be Peterson-Porter

Tournaments for elite fighters are sorta silly with how things can change on a dime & guys can pop up as top contenders outta no where. For example the minute Crawford moves up to 147 he's in the mix & this fantasy tournament would leave him out of fighting anyone tip top relevant til probably the Fall of 2018 which is f#cked up.

        That said:

        Thurman won last night.
        I think Spence beats Brook.
        Porter is gonna beat Berto
And Manny will likely stop Amir if he's got a 50% of his peak ability left.

If Spence gets past Brook as cleanly or clearly as I think he can he'll beat Thurman. If he has a tight fight with Brook I think it'll be closer, but Spence wins.
Manny beats Porter, perhaps by controversial decision.

Spence beats Manny for a changing of the guard.

Spence vs Crawford becomes the next big fight people wanna see at 147lbs.

Stop dreaming. We have all these organizations for reason.

But it's 2017 and right now in 1 weight class there is about 12 guys that are competitive in this same year. They may not be the greatest but they are climbing the ladder. Trinidad is 1 of my all time favorites and Hearns. With these fighters it would be competitive with some of today's fighters: Clottey, Williams and cotto but I see de la Hoya, Moseley, Duran a little overrated...and margarito was a punching bag.

Interesting how small are welterweights nowadays. Smaller but look more muscular, of course. But I don`t think they are stronger than guys from the past.
