Comments Thread For: Hearn on Bellew Future: We Can Bring Wilder or Parker To The UK

Bellew was on PPV. A place Wilder will never get to in America. He'll only get there being the b side against a British fighter.
And no, Wilder didn't earn 6 Mill. Were the hell did you get those numbers from?Comment

Apart from finding it funny with Briggs and his catchphrase, the fact is he's a shot fighter and has been that way for years.
That wouldn't sell on PPV very well.Comment

Get out of here with Parker. If he was the one to beat Haye, you'd be on here claiming he had the best resume at Heavy.Geez, the UK can buy into Haye-Bellew, but bringing over a champ like Wilder or Parker, who most casual fans have barely heard of? What's that going to do?
It has to be a stepping stone to have the winner fight Joshua (if he gets through Klitchko). You're exposing an overseas champ to the UK before putting them in a superfight, or on the slim chance Bellew wins, it's an all-UK scrap.
In saying that, it's not like Hearn will tell Bellew he's cannon fodder to setup a proper unification. He'll sell him the idea of being in the big money unification himself - forgetting the fact that Wilder or Parker will demolish him.
Don't forget Parker struggled against the fat Mexican and Takem. Don't forget that. Bellew very much could win that fight.Comment

No, a win against David Haye now would not give Parker the best resume at HW, that's not my belief at all. It was Haye's 3rd fight in 5 years, and first against a guy who doesn't collect cab fares for a living.
We have differing views about the Takam and Ruiz fights, and what they mean in the HW landscape - that's fine.
Just don't go putting words in my mouth.Comment

Yes, it's true Haye hasn't done much for some time. But you've got to admit that he's still one of the biggest scalps in the heavyweight division. No, a win against David Haye now would not give Parker the best resume at HW, that's not my belief at all. If Haye and Parker met before all this Bellew stuff, the split on who would win would be pretty even on this forum. In fact, Haye would probably be the favorite. So are you trying to tell me that you wouldn't claim it as Parker's biggest win if he were to come through?
You try and claim an obese Mexican to be a good win, so yeah, you'd very much claim it as a good win and the best win out of all the heavyweights today. And you'd probably be right. Doesn't matter if Haye has seen better days, you'd claim it alright.Comment

I thought you were trying to claim that as Wilder's fight purse.
He hasn't got his hands on the money yet. Remember a court ruled Povetkin not to be cheating, so this could have another turn in events.Comment

YOU IDIOT A FEDERAL COURT SAID HE WAS DOPING AND FOUND HIM GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS..... THE JUDGE THREW HIS LAWSUIT AGAINST WILDER IN THE GARBAGE BIN....
YOU ******ED FAN BOYS SHOULD STOP DEFENDING DOPERSComment

Where do you get this idea from that i'm defending that cheat Povetkin?
I never want to see him fight again. I have never nor ever will defend Povetkin for what he's done.Comment
