Possibly. I think it's a multitude of factors: stepping up competition, shoulder injury, inactivity. Dude's a part time fighter.
It's possible he was taking something to give him some extra juice, but for what it's worth they reported there wasn't any extra (VADA) drug testing for this fight.

Nah, Thurman is climbing a ladder of competition that's why it's getting harder to score K.O.'s or knockdowns....as for manny he was moving up in weight and knocking everyone out then AS SOON as the PED's were a topic of discussion he had 0 K.O.'s and has been K.O.'d.That is your logic right? Really huh? Not accounting for the fact that almost all of Pacquiao's opponent starting from 2010 had been noted as "Granite chinned" That didn't play a factor at all?Comment
