It was pro Garcia crowd so of course they're gonna boo. I think BrometheusBob said they even thought Garcia won.

The early boo's where strange, it was a decent enough fight.

I understand the booing down the stretch, Thurman turned back into 'run time' to see the closing rounds out. Fans tend not to like seeing that.

Why give the impression of running, and give rounds away. That fight should have never been a split decision, but he would be kicking himself if the fight had of ended up a draw, or a split decision the other way.
Dan Birmingham and Keith Thurmans jobs are too win fights. The crowd shouldn't even come into play. Birmingham told Thurman to box and be smart, because he felt he had a big lead. That's his job.

I didn't get why they were booing either. Fight was pretty active and a decent matchup. Thurman was clearly ahead so maybe the partisan crowd didn't like it and wanted to push for more on Garcia's part.

i get irrationally angry at ooooh and aaahhh when a ****ing jab lands

Floyd and Manny crowds are particularly bad at this: in the first a pillow fisted jab lands and crowds oooo and aaaa; for the second he throws 40 punches, lands 1 and ooooh and ahhhh

Imagine if they saw Morales Barrera? It's like they're aching for good action so they react to jabs

Yesterday's crowd did it a couple of times

That's the hill i'm dying on. **** crowds

                They booed for 2 reasons.

                1. Danny was just following Keith without doing anything other than waiting for Thurman to throw so that he can throw his no look, Hail Mary left hook.

                2. Thurman cruised in the late rounds when he knew he had the fight in the bag.

Most people in a bigger audience wanna be purely entertained. This was more of a tactical fight than action fight. Not to mention the hometown guy often had periods of not doing all that much offensively. Those things are gonna get you booed.

I watched the UFC main event after this fight and those guys got booed for fighting an extremely tactical fight as well. Most people come to fights to see rock em sock em robots fights and the further a fight gets from rock em sock em the more likely you'll be hearing boos.

In defense of crowds they just wanna have a fun night for the most part. They spent their $40 to $300 or whatever per seat, bought some beer and nachos & wanna be entertained and sometimes some people trying to make a jab some epic punch landed is probably part of that if the fight isn't naturally some offensive back n forth battle.

It was a heavily Danny Garcia crowd that watched him helplessly lose a decision. Of course they were going to boo.
