Who Do We Blame For Haye's Defeat?

Three things occured to me while I was watching this fight:

    1. Would a latent problem with Haye's knee/ankle not have been revealed during sparring? It occured so early in the fight that it must have been noticeable if he'd done more than 10 rounds of sparring

    2. Did he actually do any strenuous training/sparring for such a problem to be noticed or was the yacht publicity stunt where he actually spent most of his training camp?

    3. (My opinion) Shane Mcguigan needs to take some of the blame. I believe the smiling and playing on the yacht for the camera wasn't an act and as a trainer he was too complacent and thought Haye would just blitz through Bellew. It puts into question his handling of the Frampton/Leo rematch and how Frampton was unable to adjust to a different Leo fight plan.

    Thoughts?

it was noticed. there were lots of rumours about haye hurting his achilles in during fight week, most people just dismissed it as rumours but it was obviously true. I think Haye genuinely believed he could knock bellew out as soon as he landed and it wouldnt last more than a couple of rounds, so he continued with the fight. He would have got serious criticism if he pulled out after what he did with the fury fights. But yes they did underestimate bellew in the sense that they thought it would be a demolition job

Rumours were circulating a week ago about hayes achilles...but he said he had his checkover with the german doctor and got the all clear...so its obvious...its taken 72 years to get revenge...adolph hitler is to blame

Not fighting decent competition for years. Everyone's looking for a reason. I've been ranting about this for quite a while. Haye has simply been looking for checks and taking as little risk as possible. Bellew was an odious cherry pick and even that blew up in his face.

Haye was once very talented and I believed in him. But, he lost that fighting spirit when he flirted with retirement at 30. He got that in his head and hasn't had his heart in the game ever since. Fans are gullible though and buy these sales pitches. Just come to terms with it guys. The DH we once knew left years ago. He made a brief appearance to smash Chisora (who couldn't win if you handed him a golden ticket).
