Garcia has no business at 147.

At 140 he had solid size and good power, which he was able to use to overcome his limitations.

147 is a whole different ball game, there are several fighters that will beat him without any trouble. Garcia is slow, his footwork isn't great, his defence is leaky and his power is untested against bigger guys. He's going to catch a bunch of L's if he stays at welterweight.

So long as you can avoid Danny's "no look Hail Mary left hook", he's very beatable.

One thing that I will give Danny is is timing. He has an amazing ability to time his opponents and land his power shots.

Thurman did a excellent job of setting the pace early. He tried to knock Garcia head off his body seem like. And being so aggressive early set the tone for the rest of the fight. It kept Danny gun shy and second guess his offense. That's why when Thurman took rounds off Danny was still hesitant to commit to his combinations. He didn't wanna walk into a haymaker.

Danny has a good chin he got rocked early and still stayed upright, but this time he wasn't getting a gift decision even though one judge attempted to SMH

                This is true.

Well, now what? Who can Thurman fight and what new excuses will he have to avoid Spence??? Garcia might be better off now. He could fight Porter-Berto winner, or loser, or Broner or a rematch with Khan. Thurman can fight Khan if Khan beats Pac. Other than that, everyone wants to see him quit crying when he hears the name Spence and fight the young gun. Which is why he will probably rematch Porter (if he gets by Berto) or Garcia. Anything and anyone to avoid Spence. I can't blame him though, Thurman wouldn't be able to win a single round against The Truth.

Yes, true but the reality is he didn't let his hands go or really push the fight; he walked forward a lot but that isn't the same. Bad advice from Angel did not help and Danny just didn't seem to be able to muster the resolve to really put it on Thurman.

I now respect the abilitys of Garcia and his chin. He just can't move with a mover.

Thurman had his chance to be Legend by finishing his man but backed off. Back in the day legendary champs finished their competition !

Still a good fight ! I wanted Thurman to stay on him and Knock Danny Out but too bad he didn't !
Danny proved one more time he's got a great beard. Thought Lucas was going to knock him out and he went 12 rounds and won. Last night Thurman had to box more because Danny was getting to the body why taking some good shots. Would like to see a rematch much respect to both fighters great shape way to take your job seriously good show last night.
