That was a weird moment when Eggington dropped his hands like that in the 6th (or 7th?).

I thought Eggington would win, but thought it may of gone the distance.
I was pretty surprised to see 2 judges had Paulie up at the time of the stoppage however.

Paulies had a hell of a career a lot of people dont give him respect because he wasn't a big puncher but it takes a lot of skill and courage to go 12 rds with killers and still outclass them. I enjoyed Paulie for that reason because I knew he would need to box a perfect fight to win and he did it from time to time becoming a 2 division world champ not a lot of people can say that for themselves. He has a good future with Showtime and I appreciate his enthusiasm for the sport you can tell its his life and boxing needs more fighters like that. He hurt Eggington in the 6th round I think and gave his last hoorah tonight wasnt his night but he provided some good scraps over the years.

is this like the support the troops of the bush era? paulie was a crap fighter who hung around for 10 plus years cherry picking and getting big fights that he didnt deserve. made him a lot of money but doesnt mean we have to like it. his best wins were lovemore ndou and senchenko yet he was constantly on tv and in big fights and since boxing is a zero sum game that is not a good thing for boxing fans.

lol paula was basically used as a stepping stone for bigger name fighters to look good by beating him from pillar to post. he's a high profile jobber!

Malignaggi was just never really good. I can˙t understand why is he come kind of star in states. He lost against Khan, Cotto, Hatton, Broner, Porter, Garcia. His best win is past prime version of Judah. Maybe is Malignaggi best paid punching bag?
