Oh yeah man cause Paulie would be posting on here after he just fought on a televised card I agree he needs to retire hes past his prime and he doesn't have the punch to keep these youngs guys off him anymore, but he's always going to be a good fighter to me for what he achieved over his career despite his limitations, you cant knock everyone out some guys are born punchers and some are taught skills and try to outbox those punchers I appreciate both aspects of the sport.

is this like the support the troops of the bush era? paulie was a crap fighter who hung around for 10 plus years cherry picking and getting big fights that he didnt deserve. made him a lot of money but doesnt mean we have to like it. his best wins were lovemore ndou and senchenko yet he was constantly on tv and in big fights and since boxing is a zero sum game that is not a good thing for boxing fans.Comment

Even when Paulie was 100% he only moved better. His legs are shot. Paulie can't catch them when he needs to, he can't hurt them when they let him, and he can't get away when he's hurt. Yeah, it's time to hang em up.Comment

No wonder Garcia ducked Eggington.
I thought Paulie's body looked soft at the weigh in and it showed today. He's getting that old man body physique. It's time for Paulie to hang them up. Hopefully he saved up enough money and still has the commentating gig as well.
"According to promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, a few weeks ago he was contacted by associates of Al Haymon, the manager of Garcia. They asked him if there were any available welterweights to face Garcia. He offered up Gavin and Eggington. They called Hearn the following day and requested Eggington. The discussions fell flat over the money. Hearn says their offer of $100-125,000 was too low for his fighter.

Thank you for the suggestion but no, I don't need my head examined. Maybe you need to take a break and step away. You seem too tense and serious.Comment

I tend to believe that after Porter demolished Malignaggi that that was the end of the line for Paulie. The guy who beat him today looked a lot bigger than PM.Comment

I really thought he would after the back to back losses to Porter and Garcia.Maybe this will make him finally decide to just stick to his announcing gigComment
