If Wilder fought Joshua at Wembley Stadium later this year

Would a £5million flat fee purse, no PPV, be a fair offer?

He cant put arses in seats in his own hometown and hasnt drawn over 750,000 viewers on showtime free to air TV since winning the WBC belt.

His latest fox numbers were if anything, an anomally when placed in comparison to his previous fights.

If we are talking purely business... 5 million is fair for him BUT.. if he fights in the UK its absolutely going to be PPV on sky because of AJ. AJ and wlad are splitting a 35 million purse so.. Wilder makes 10 just based off of the numbers, not actually deserving the payday.

A case can be made for Joshua not deserving his paydays either but.. thats another thread

Wilder has Al Haymon so whatever deal he settles for it will be fair. Nobody in boxing is better at getting their fighter better purses. And if somehow Hearn can't meet their number then Haymon will probably wait on making the fight.

I dont think a UK PPV between those two gives Hearn any problems in making the purse for Wilder but if his highest purse isnt even around the 2 mil range, than even Hearn will tell Haymon to **** off with figures that are ludicrous.

Joshua's contract states he owns the PPV with 20% of revenue going to Matchroom, which means that money spent on purses, undercards etc will be as a direct result of how much Joshua wants to spend on that card ( he's usually very open to spending as much as is needed as he knows this generates more in the long-run). If Haymon thinks he can waltz in and command ****** numbers for Deontay Wilder to the point where the money doesnt fit what AJ and Hearn like, it aint happening.

Then cue to the ducking threads
