Undefeated champions Keith Thurman and Danny Garcia risk their welterweight crowns Saturday in a showdown that could launch the winner to stardom worthy of Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao. Saturday's matchup of unbeaten 28-year-old Americans at Brooklyn's Barclays Center is only the third unification bout between unbeaten welterweight champions, the first since Oscar de la Hoya faced Felix Trinidad in 1999.

It will be impressive if he beats Thurman. Which I doubt. It's possible One Time would become Run Time again in this fight. But the Swift is awkward when he's chasing his opponents and haven't seen any of them getting cornered on the ropes. Nah... I don't see Garcia winning this fight.

Thurman is a favorite with Las Vegas oddsmakers but Garcia shrugs off his unfancied role, saying, "All underdog means is there's a bunch of people that don't know what I can do."

No, they know what Thurman can do. People bet with their heads.

Thurman by UD, but if Danny can pull this off he cant be denied afterwards.

It'll be a tough fight for both. Thurman is more marketable.

              Thurman takes it, on points.

Thurman is easily more vulnerable than Garcia. When was Danny ever doubled over from body shots? This will be a test of strengths and wills, which Danny has more of IMO.

Well, when you have a close fight with old Morales,
                  very close fight with Matthysse,
                  very close fight with Herrera,
                  very close fight with Peterson,
                  close fight with Guerrero,

then how good you are is already on a display.

This is kinda what I'm thinking. All this talk about Keith being the big KO puncher--I think he's a fool to trade with Garcia. I think he'll be moving a good deal, trying to box, initiating exchanges.

I was picking Thurman early but rolling with this ^ now. He's tightened up alot but Thurman is still too wide open when he exchanges. Keith will win on points if it goes the distance, but I think Danny will get the stoppage.
