Comments Thread For: Haye, Bellew Warned To Tone Down Language By British Board

DAVID HAYE and Tony Bellew have been told to behave like “adults” as the bad blood builds ahead of their heavyweight clash this weekend. The pair traded insults at a heated press conference on Monday night in Liverpool as the clock ticks down to their meeting at the O2 on Saturday night. Haye called the 500-strong crowd “f***ing ******s” and then told Bellew he is risking his life by getting in the ring with him after being goaded by the Scouse puncher and his fans.

Calling Bellew fans ******s is harsh... on ******s. I doubt even genuine ******s will be rooting for Bellew, or Haye for that matter. These fkrs are at least two levels beneath ******.

Fight David Haye - Tony Bellew may be canceled.

Haye flew a charter flight to Munich on the alleged physical to the German specialist Andreas Imhoff about his Achilles tendon. Journalists believe that fight, which is scheduled for March 4 may be canceled

He's been asked about a hundred times at that press conference if he's fully healthy or not. If he has excuses after this he'll be a bigger laughing stock than last time.

Robert Smith is an out of touch old fart, no-one cares what he says. I remember the moral indignation after the Haye-Chisora brawl. The fighters stuck two fingers up at the board, got a license from Luxembourg and still fought on UK soil. The Board is not actually an official organisation, it's in place but no-one has to be sanctioned by the British board to fight in a British ring, fact. It's optional. Another 'Board' could come along tomorrow and set up shop in Britain quite easily.

I dont think its so much the language than the fact weve had a boxer die in a small event which was highly publicised as it happened very soon after Nick Blackwell got put in a coma for two weeks...

Didnt help that blackwell after losing his license then went and sparred someone and got knocked straight back into a coma.

When Haye is forever telling the press and public Bellew is going into a coma, being left a vegetable, going out on a stretcher etc etc and mentioning his family.. it kinda ****s off the british public a bit.
