Great post. I absolutely agree with you. The thing is most of these fools on here don't know anything about boxing. Most of these fools on here have never been in a real fight in their lives. They ain't never been socked in the mouth before so it's easy for them to call someone a quitter and say a certain fighter has no heart. Mathysse has plenty of heart! We've all seen him fight thru the years and give competitive fights. Boxers are human too, not machines. If a fighter puts his safety first for once and decides to take a loss for whatever reason then some ignorant people will automatically label them quitters with no heart. But I'm willing to bet most of the people who call them quitters will run from a real fight. You have to place yourself in that scenario to know why a fighter says he's had enough. Only way you can do that is to know what it feels like to get punch in the face numerous times. Most of the fools on here don't know that feeling cause they always yapping their mouth but when it comes time to throw blows they find excuses why not to fight.... Most of the lames on here tripp me out! -

I hear you.
I thought he showed a lot of heart against Molina and Ruslan, but I think he was already on the downward slide at that point, and those fights took a lot out of him. His performance against Postol was a serious disappointment. It was obvious that he was at the end of his rope during that fight and needed a long break...at the very least. I hope he is rejuvenated, but I have my doubts.
That said, I think that telling any athlete that he has no heart is the ultimate insult. In some cases, it's definitely warranted...but Lucas has entertained us with his flesh, blood and bones. Despite a disappointing performance against Postol, we should cut him just a little slack before taking aim at his boxing soul.Leave a comment:

Never though highly of Lucas but Taylor has no power at all and is 3-3 in his last 6 bouts winning against "opponents"!
When a fighter returns after a long lay off and he's an experienced guy he needs a better opponent so he prepares as hard as he can.
You don't want him in with a top tier guy but you can't give him
a guy that's just gone 3-3 and the last two were 8 round bouts.
Not a good fight for a veteran but his people know him better than folks on a boxing site. I don't know why he's returning, at 147 he gets stopped against every top tier guy.
