He said in the interview that he would move up in weight class if thats where ARCE wanted to fight him, but still no word from ARCE.

we shall wait and see. If Arce doesnt fight VIC by the end of this year and doesn't give a reasonable excuse (there arn't many excuses really, definitely not the money because there is so much interest around VIC -vs- ARCE that it would bring in the most money in the flyweight division) then we can conclude that ARCE has simply ducked VIC.

Wrong! Go up in weight and then be accused of avoiding the popular guy who declares he is the best?

Again I'm an Arce fan and I sure wanted to see this thing settled. After their fight then that's the time that one of them or both of them can go up in weight.

and the guy is 61-2 and has pretty much never fought a day out of Thailand. I just dont understand how a 61-2 fighter can defend a WBC title against someone that is 5-3

please look at Wong Jongs BoxRec and see if you can explain to me how that happens.

I think Vic is looking ahead of Maldonado. Not a good idea, his record shows he can punch. I think this has upset written all over it.

                  I think NOT.

Maldonado has fought nothin but bums in MexiCali, there is no way he wins against VIC.

ill put my 15 Mil on Vic, any takers???

I agree. It's not easy being a little fella in boxing, even harder being from the land down under to boot. It's difficult to crack the USA market for anyone, even harder for the Aussies.

Very true, but i think Darchinyan has done well in the US with only 2 fights here. VIC has a 2 year deal with Gary Shaw so we will be seeing alot more of him on tv, starting on Showtime Championship Boxing on Saturday June 3rd b4 Castillo -vs- Corrales III.
