Silva got a bit of a gift from the judges in his last MMA fight. With that in mind , I was thinking with GSP coming back, they might be thinking of making that 'super fight' people wanted a few years back.

Not so much of a 'super' fight now, but maybe a ploy to try and show McGregor that have other ideas to try pull in the cash that don't include him.

But that's probably me putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5. Maybe there is a plan for Silva and Jones, It's very unappealing to me though.

I don't know anything about MMA I do not know how big this Silva is the most you would have done what 5 5 minute rounds in MMA which is about eight rounds in boxing maybe not as strenuous but how can he keep his hands held up and most MMA fighters from what I have been told are quite Square facing the opponent , receptive the punches..

Has anyone seen Silva's boxing match on YouTube?
RJJ aka Superman could knock out Silva in his sleep at the age of 76.
Two different sports I'm a MMA guy but let's be real it's a no contest.

Been thinking about the advantage a boxer could have in a traditional sense... (Stand up only no grappling)

But what if the MMA fighter was also allowed an "Advantage" like 5 min rds each?

Should a crossover fight allow each to bring that in?

Anyway yeah... Jones Jr. By KO

Stand up include kickboxing rules low kicks , clinches... Floyd might have some success , but he'd get chopped down

how do you call that "settle it once and for all"??? regardless of how you look at it, its not fair. if they fight under mma rules then the boxer would lose, if they fight under boxing rules then mma guys will lose.

in a loser's division like CW, where a lot of the fights take place in europe, you would be surprised. for instance, jones fought for the WBU world title [german version,] which got him a shot at enzo, and the guy who beat enzo got a shot at huck. that's exactly how these things go. these guys have names, and if they string wins together people will dangle some money in front of them to get a name on their fighter's resume. and that's how jones thinks. he doens't just want to get in the ring and put on gloves, he thinks he's still got it and will never lose his winner's mentality in spite of the fact that his body can't come close to keeping up.

yeah, connor would kick that knee right into next week. floyd would not only lose, he'd be looking at a year of rehab with a blown out knee.
