I'm picking Langford to win this fight. I think he outboxes Khurtsidze in similar fashion to how Fletcher outboxed Bursak, plus the scorecards are probably already filled out in his favor, save for any knock downs.

Khurtsidze's tough, but he got lucky getting Douglass on short notice and then to have the 23 year old Douglass do him a favor and stand his ground.


Still not sure how the Golovkin mandatories will come off. If Canelo rematches Chavez in September, Golovkin will have the IBF & WBO mando's, which could be Tureano and Langford. Though the IBF might order Johnson to do another eliminator like they did with Uzecategui. In which case Tureano could fight either Derevyanchenko or Charlo.

Langford isnt going to outbox anyone. This talk as if he is some Cuban technician is ridiculous. He is a typical mediocre skilled British basic boxers. Khurtsidze will give him a boxing lesson before rendering him unconscious.

He's not getting screwed, he agreed to a step-aside. Realistically, he should've been bumped from his #1 position given his own length of inactivity.

Before he became the official mando, he turned down a fight on Showtime with Willie Monroe. The only reason Khurtsidze got the Douglass fight was because he missed weight for a fight with Giovanni Lorenzo a few weeks earlier and Lorenzo refused to go forward. If you ask me, Khurtsidze has been pretty fortunate as of late.
