Yea I wonder what happened to all that Top Rank and Haymon "working together" nonsense. It's been almost a year since they settled that lawsuit & I can't recall any fights they've done or even thought of doing since then.

48ers either ride with Bob now on the Horn fight over Khan or accept that Bob was, at the very least, a part of the reason for the Mayweather vs Pacquiao taking so long. Bob wants easy money with no risk unless it benefits him. He marinated a few fights to where they never happened like Gamboa vs Juanma at its peak.

What is Arum so upset about? He seems annoyed that Manny is going to make 5 times the money he did last time out, seems to me that there is rebellion in that camp. Arum wanted to trot Manny around the world in these gate keeper showcases, and make money with minmal risk. Manny, clearly not wanting to be seen as a joke took control of his career.

Bob also did a great job guiding Manny's career. Manny became adored by US fans despite not speaking English and picked him the fights that helped him prove he was one of the best pound-for-pound.

Manny won the PR battle vs Mayweather too. Bob's judgement isn't bad.

That won't work. Announcing this fight shows that this is what fans want moreso than the Horn fight. If the Horn fight still happens, people will see how full of crap Arum is and how pathetic fights are almost being forced. It would be inexcusable at this point...

I agree with this, except the part about Arum not wanting to work with Haymon. I think Arum just doesn't like to be one upped or have his decisions vetoed by his fighters.

I suspect if the UAE money is legit, 38 million, that Arum signs off on it. So much of that UAE stuff seems sketchy to me doe cuz so few fights pop off there or promoters are worried about ********* sh_t or the clash of cultures since stoning and flogging are still legal punishments there. Last thing Arum wants is for Manny to f#ck some UAE ****** with an important father and Manny has to get flogged and Arum gots to buy Manny out of worse punishment with 1,500 goats.
