I hear this happens in the amateurs. A guy might have 20-30 fights under his belt that go unrecorded yet he can still fight in the novice under 10 fight tournament.

It is not too clear from that - is this fighters actually fabricating their fighting records for the better?

I always felt it must be that some of the African lads who fought for the commonwealth were taking the piss. To be fair we've not seen too many of those recently. But back in the day you knew as soon as the commentator said the fighter had 14 kids and drives a cab that he's getting levelled and that is after you'd seen him enter the ring to the ****e girls or whatever the DJ put on with his corner consisting of a couple of lads from the local boxing club who have met him 5 minutes ago, and he's wearing a pair of shorts from lost property and that is teamed with a pair of actual shoes.

I thought it must be like those fake ids you can get in Thailand that can make you look like you're a staff member at Harvard or NASA but on the streets of Accra you can bag yourself a professional boxing record and a commonwealth ranking. You can blag yourself a free holiday and a few grand if you can make weight and get smashed to bits.

Nevermind the fighters falsifying records. How about judges, refs, promoters and commissions ?

I've definitely seen Danny Garcia lose twice but somehow still has a 0 on his record. Not just him of course, just an example.

The whole game needs investigating. It's rotten to the core really.

I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be true with the state of some of these Georgian opponents that are brought over.
