Now what do you guys think? Does Tarver still deserve it?

Good post, but a quick clarification. The WBA and IBF titles were stripped from him immediately. As in the same week he won them. It's not a case of him not defending them or whatever. The IBF enforced a title shot for some contender within 30 days (and Dariusz had just gone 12 hard rounds with Hill) and the WBA didn't even put forth the effort to make a pretense or excuse, they just flat-out stripped him because they didn't want their belt in Germany. So yes, 2 of the 3 belts Roy had at LHW were those belts, wrongfully stripped from Dariusz outside of the ring. Dariusz had to beat a long-reigning champion (Hill) who had just unified with an undefeated long-reigning champion (Maske). Roy won vacant titles and beat a guy who had just won a vacant title to establish his claim as champion, and would never face Dariusz. So yes, Erdei has the lineage and is the true champion at LHW, although he's probably not the best fighter at 175. Adamek is probably the best at 175, currently.Originally posted by myunksafiedZsolt Erdei is the lineal champion because he beat Julio Gonzalez who beat Dariusz Michaelchewski who beat Virgil Hill to unite the WBA, WBO and IBF versions of the light heavyweight title. This made him the lineal champion. He gave up the WBA and IBF versions but he had the lineal title. Roy Jones WAS the better fighter, but just like PBF is better than Baldomir, he was not the lineal champ because he did not beat the man that beat the man.Comment

How do you guys think Chad Dawson stacks up against the "bigger names" in the division like Erde, Adamek, Tarver, Johnson, Woods etc.? I think he gives any of them a run for their money. He really impressed me in his performance against Harding.Comment
