Andre Ward Going Cruiserweight For Tony Bellew's Title In July? Kovalev Rematch OFF?

It's been rumoured that if Bellew loses to Haye at heavyweight on March 4th, his next opponent will be Andre Ward for Bellew's WBC Cruiserweight Title as Ward is contemplating moving up a division in a bid to become a 3-division world champion.

Should this happen, it's also rumoured that Ward would most probably vacate his belts at light heavyweight and therefore forego a rematch against Sergey Kovalev.

The Bellew vs Ward cruiserweight title fight is said to already be pencilled in for a massive UK Venue in July 2017.

It was mentioned only in conversation with a Matchroom Promotions representative but for the time being should be considered merely a vague possibility rather than a guaranteed fight.

              Well I'll play along . . .

Hypothetically, if Andre Ward insisted he couldn't make the light heavyweight limit anymore, is the rematch clause enforceable? Could be an interesting twist.

Even that grumpy old man have a sense of humor. I don't think they are going to fight. They are good friends.

Doesn't Bellew have to fight the winner of Briedis vs Huck?
