How are you the only person in the world that doesn't know this fight has only been talked about as a boxing match? MMA has zero bearing on this fight as McGregor will be boxing.

Floyd hasn't faced such weak opposition in how long? You McGreggor fans best be worried if you get your wish. (Be careful what you wish for).

I feel TBE will punish the kid,, and make a statement that UFC is not on boxings level.
Conor will KO Floyd with a spinning heel kick before it gets too bad and get disqualified.

Like a lot of posters here I've boxed some, not even Golden Gloves, but I had friends who were Golden Gloves fighters and I went to the gym with them and trained for several months off and on when i was a teenager. I can throw a punch, I can move a little, and I can handle myself sparring against other total amateurs. Worked with this guy, Bryan. Bryan was a Golden Gloves national champ out of my hometown, Grand Rapids, and he ended up boxing pro, but had a bad record, 13-25. Got a chance to get in a ring with him, not to spar really, just to have him show me a few things footwork wise. Of course we moved around a little and threw some feints and what not. You really have no clue until you've been in with a pro, while at the time I had 20 lbs on Bryan, it was like an Eagle vs a worm. You're totally helpless in there against someone that much better than you. The chances of landing a meaningful punch are zero. The chances of you avoiding basically anything a pro wants to throw at you are next to nothing. The speed is blinding, and that was against a guy who wasn't 1/10th the fighter Mayweather is. You realize quickly that it's more than a life time of training, the guys who make it have natural ability on top of all those years.

That's basically what McGregor will be walking into, he's an amateur boxer, probably wouldn't place in the top 3 in his weight class in a local Golden Gloves tourney fighting against teenagers, much less a regional or national one. Way better than I could ever do for sure. And then he's in against not just a bad pro, but a great pro, perhaps the best all time pro. It's like taking someone who plays basketball at the YMCA every other Sunday and putting him against Lebron James one on one in a game to 50 points, if he loses by only 50-4 it would be a major surprise. If McGregor landed a single meaningful punch it would be a surprise.

People just sound ****** when they say **** like this. He'll land and he'll definitely land more than once - Boxing isn't the incredibly complicated science that you all make it out to be.

I know it's a boxing match. I'm asking a question to point out a fallacy in the statements made d1ck riding mayweather fans

It will be wayyyy worse. Gatti is a far superior boxer than McGregor. Gatti would have smashed McGregor up big time. Imagine Floyd... Even a retired Floyd will put a beating on him

Without a doubt in my mind. Anyone that thinks otherwise don't know **** about boxing.

No tune-up fight, and you go straight for one of the GOATs of boxing? This is a pure money grab from Conor, and we all know it.
