Yeah, I know.
There wasn't much heavyweight skill on display last night.
But, there WAS skill in other non-heavyweight fights.
And every bout was entertaining to watch.
I get purist bemoaning the lack of science.
But if (a big IF) these are the same folks crying about boring fights at other times, then these folks need to make up their minds.
I prefer a well schooled scientific fighter. I like that whether a lot of punches are landed or that skill is used to not get hit.
Last night was not that for the most part. We did see Harrison box beautifully at times and watching Nyambayar and Plant was a pleasure.
But it was also a treat watching Breazeale in a punchfest with Ugonoh (BTW, I hope Ugonoh learns from this and comes back cause there is some talent there). And whatever you think of his skill, Wilder seems to always deliver exciting finishes.
I think last night was a good night for boxing, with a very decent card.
It was fun to watch.
