BIRMINGHAM, Alabama Dominic Breazeale got his shot at Deontay Wilder much sooner than he expected. The huge heavyweight contender and the WBC heavyweight champion got into an altercation late Saturday night in a hotel lobby after they won their respective bouts by knockout at nearby Legacy Arena. The incident occurred after Breazeale and Wilder's younger brother, Marsellos Wilder, got into separate altercations at Legacy Arena and in the lobby of The Westin Birmingham, across the street from the arena.

Breazeale is OK as stay busy fight in June before Wilder faces Parker in September. At least we can compare Wilder & Joshua how both handled Breazeale.

If Joshua/Klitschko isn't until April 29 & Hughie/Parker on May 6 then Wilder could slip this fight in there in May & still fight the winner of Parker/Hughie after. There is no WBC mandatory yet. I'd prefer a bigger fight but it doesn't seem possible before the end of the year. We could hope for Ortiz but I don't see that happening unless he is the mandatory which means he needs to beat Stiverne or Whyte.
