We are in agreement here for sure.

My point is they were keeping boxing out there while major media was pulling away from boxing. I don't watch a lot of youtube boxing channels but for the high and mighty boxing media to act like they're better than that them is a joke.
Fair point. And I 100% agree with your point that when the so called legit media largely walks away from your sport there is going to be a creation of a new media which I'd say includes Youtube, fan blogs & podcasts created by a lesser qualified, but more passionate group of people, Regardless if most of it is garbage I do agree there are some gems out there.

People say Seckbach is a clown but I respect his hustle. These dudes was out here doing that before you could monetize your videos on youtube.
No doubt. Elie is EAZY to make fun of (& I definitely do at times), but you can never hate on his work ethic & drive to make the best possible boxing youtube content he can make. And that deserves some respect.

I didn't watch the interview so I dont know what was said. I'm saying the guy is no longer a writer there, which he isn't. He works for f*ghtnews.

Also, I spoke to someone who knows this guy Fred very well.

First off, the guy is banned from Golden Boy events and it has to do with an incident at Hopkins-Smith - which he was booted from as well.

It's being alleged, and I say the word alleged, that Fred was selling press credentials. And this would not be the first time this happened with a reporter. Someone who worked for Ring got fired 2 years ago for doing the same thing. And someone from Fighthype got banned for sneaking in family members and friends with press credentials.

And when I mentioned that he was an emmy winning director with a journalism degree the person I spoke to got hysterical and said "who said that bull****?"

He said Fred was a writer for Dontae's website and branched out on his own.
I talked to him myself. If he lied to me that's on him. I prefer to talk to a person directly rather than asking another man about anothers man business. That's called gossiping, especially when Fred himself is easy to contact. That's just the way I was raised.

What I'm saying is I still think GBP has questions to answer, like this Youtube dummy was saying he was planning on doing before he got the boot, as to why their employee, GBP's PR guy, Ramiro Gonzalez, is conversing & damn near scheming & certainly encouraging an alleged racist dipsh^t repeatedly in emails where this guy is talking about n$ggers & black hitlers.

If Ramiro has been fired by GBP fair enough, if Oscar has commented on it fair enough. I just haven't seen or heard anything myself.
        EXACTLY this.

And calling out Fred's credentials (or alleged lack thereof) in no way, shape, or form changes the fact the 'real reporters' don't appear to be getting that answered.

AFAIK, there has been no statement from GB at all about their role in a coordinated smear campaign nor the current status of Ramiro Gonzalez within the company.

The apparent lack of interest for any of the 'real reporters' to get that clarified for their customers/audience seems counterintuitive.

And the reason guys are going from Walmart to press row with no education is because they're helping grow the sport. Their videos are getting tens of thousands and sometimes hundreds of thousands of views. If I were a promoter I'd grant them credentials too. For some reason people in boxing think exposure is a bad thing. If the traditional boxing media had any credibility there wouldn't be a need for youtube and bloggers. They're successful so they obviously filled a void the traditional boxing media couldn't fill. You don't see people going to youtube for nba, nfl, nhl, and mlb coverage by random people. Instead of pointing the fingers at youtube maybe the traditional boxing media should ask themselves why are people looking for alternative media to get their boxing fix.
