    Interesting Nelo haters...

The same guys that despised Chavez Jr. even more before Alvarez vs ggg was ever discussed, that a clinging contract indecisive Chavez Jr... ducked ggg now they want Chavez Jr. to win.lol

My kids, most of us want nelo vs Chavez Jr. Because it benefits the sport.

Jacobs will tame y'all too late March!! Good luck Girl Scouts!

Canelo-Chavez Jr is what the sport needs right now, to very popular boxers who have very fan friendly styles and both have great chins, this is more important for the sport than Canelo-Golovkin, esp since its going to be a week after Wlad-Joshua which will be the biggest clinch fest in boxing history

Good call, exactly how I see the Wlad fight going. Too much respect by AJ for Wlad to take the fight to him. He looked awestruck at the press conference.

LOL at Canelo - Jr, being even 1/10 as important as Canelo - GGG would be.

Maybe if you got into a time machine a traveled back like 5 years -- the last time Jr. was relevant or any good

This fight is a stunt, not much else. Hey, Jr. has always been tough, so it could very well be a fun fight as he eats up punishment. And while I am a Ginger hater, I wont deny him this easy money

But the fight is pretty meaningless. The Beefy Smith fight was a much more meaningful than this one, and that one wasn't much. Hell, Khan giving up tons of size was a more meaningful fight.

        Still WAR JR!!

Yeah that's the only way I see this fight going, clinching non stop from both fighters, they're two big men with arguably being the two hardest punchers I don't they want to get hit

Couldnt have said it better myself.
Fight is a money grab, nothing more.
Itll sell because theyre popular mejicanos fighting on Cinco. Other than popularity, it does nothing for the sport because true boxing fans know Jr isnt anything close to being good, is squeezing down to a weight he hasnt fought in about 5/6 years and hasnt shown any discipline or respected the sport in who knows how long....
As for CONelo, he's contradicted himself too much in the last 2 years. He hasnt fought top opposition in those 2 years, brought GGG into the ring acting like a tough guy, dropped the belt saying he wasnt 160lber, fights who again? Offers GGG a pittance to fight, then agrees to move up 11lbs to fight Jr?

            C'mon maaaan

I was a huge fan of Canelo back when he fought Lara, Trout etc. Still am a fan of his but he is making a fool of himself with his GGG comments. He should just admit that he isnt ready for Golovkin yet instead of moving down to 154 only to fight at 165 next fight after that.

That being said I am looking forward to this fight aswell!! Hope Chavez is disciplined!

I was rooting for this matchup before it was even announced as some others on this forum. I even said a Trilogy could be in the works before the idea came into play. The truth is no one can know for sure how this first bout plays out. If it's awesome, the same doubters will turn and be for the rematch. Chavez Jr. took a lot of guts taking on Fonfara as he didn't have to take that fight. I was practically the only one justifying and behold the karma, Jr. lands a payday because of courage. Good things to come.
