Comments Thread For: Frank Warren: Hughie Fury Has Signed Joseph Parker Deal

Hughie Fury has signed the contract to fight for the world title. The WBO's mandatory challenger and number two contender, per the sanctioning body's president on Thursday, had yet to put pen to paper on the deal to enable him to challenge Joseph Parker on April 1 in Auckland.

Good news. This is a good fight.. Year is going so well, brilliant fights being announced one after the other.. We don't need them to be cancelled or delayed.. Let's hope the days of fighters like Thurman and Tyson Fury pulling out of fights and going awol is over. 2017 schedule so far is amazing and the best it's been in while.

A paper champion vs the cousin of a legit champion? No way!

Honestly, I shouldn't be as down on this fight as I am. If it were just Parker/Hughie fighting, I would probably look forward to it, but the fact that it's masquerading as a World Heavyweight Title fight just rubs me in so much the wrong way...Hope whoever wins faces Wilder/AJ/Wlad next. I know WBO is a joke, but at least try to get the belt around legit champions...

I've never truly believed all the talk about hughie on PEDs, but not signing the contract for your first world title fight until the last minute is strange. I'm struggling to come up with another reason. I hope its not true because there is far too many good fights getting cancelled because of drug cheats.

I hope Parker`s promoter insisted on VADA testing in the contract otherwise Hughie is on dope again......Did UKAD already held their hearing with Hughie and Tyson Fury?!

That's all we have so far.. BBBoC & UKAD are mum about this, the last I read the tribunal was on 8-Feb, but hasn't happened since..

Or more simply everyone including media is gagged, I truly hope Fury's suspension is over by the time this fight takes place, I wouldn't begrudge him using PED's either to even it up after he looked like shyt versus Kassi when he clearly wasnt using.

Fury's empowered an high court QC, you don't pay out that kind of money unless you've got yourself in deep.
