Comments Thread For: Chisora vs. Helenius Rematch Looking Likely, Says Trainer

According to Don Charles, trainer of British heavyweight contender Dereck Chisora (26-7, 18 KOs), things are heading in the direction of a rematch with Robert Helenius. Back in 2011, Chisora traveled over to Finland to face Helenius (24-1, 15 KOs) in his backyard. Back in 2011, Chisora traveled over to Finland to face Helenius (24-1, 15 KOs) in his backyard. Chisora was the underdog, but he defied the experts and put in one of his finer performances. After the smoke cleared, Chisora lost a controversial twelve round split decision.

Chisora will never get a decision against a significant opponent, he needs a knockout all the time. It's sad the man gets robbed so often.

Chisora is a warrior but unfortunately he has Fres Oquendo syndrome. He never gets the close decisions regardless if he look to have won or not. This is a great matchup. Both have lots to prove. Helenius is still on the rebound from the Duhaupas loss & Chisora is coming off a couple of eliminator losses to Whyte & Pulev. I thought Chisora won the first battle & I think he has a legit chance to win the rematch but to me it seems like his lack of true power is what really hurts him. He can't put guys away when they are hurt. He is always fun to watch & an important player in the HW division. He is a solid B level fringe contender who can give almost anyone a tough night. Fury & Haye were the only guys who dominated him. I'm not sure what Helenius has left after such a great start to his career. Injuries & promotional issues killed a few of his prime years & the only big fight he had he got KO'd by Duhaupas. Duhaupas has proven to be a pretty tough fringe contender himself so no shame in that loss but he needs a big win. Beating Chisora would be a good start.

Sweet! I'm excited for this one. Great crossroads fight for a couple of good HWs.
