Prime Foreman was a little chinny. Prime Foreman lost to Ali but there is no shame in that. But Deontay Wilder is like a heavy weight version of Thomas Hearns or Sonny Liston 2.0. Tall, great jab, great right hand, and great at keeping the distance. Foreman never in his career faced a monster like Deontay. How would a showdown between Prime George Foreman and Deontay Wilder look? And who wins that fight?

Prime Foreman was not chinny. You make it sound like the 25 year old 220 pound Foreman had a weak chin but the fat 43 year old Foreman had a good chin. Chins don't get better with age. Foreman was a good champion who beat guys like Frazier. Wilder has good hand speed, height, reach and power. Wilder has yet to even fight top competition. He isn't a giant Hearns or a Sonny Liston. Wilder is sloppy and wild and makes lots of mistakes. He often throws very wide punches leaving himself open and he has a much worse chin than Foreman. I think the Foreman who won the title by KOing Frazier in two brutal rounds would also KO today's Wilder. You are trying to turn Wilder into an all time great heavyweight. He isn't great. He is just a WBC belt holder who has yet to fight a top 5 heavyweight. For him to be considered great he would need to improve very much and defeat today's best heavyweights.

Wouldn't you say that the Lyle fight proved that Foreman was a little chunky. I know Foreman won and all but he was getting rocked.

I think those same Lyle punches that hurt Foreman would KO Wilder. Lyle was a huge puncher. Lyle and Foreman were good sized heavyweights. 6 foot 4 inches and 220 pounds without extra fat. Many of today's giant heavyweights who weigh 250 pounds are 40 pounds overweight. Wilder is a big heavyweight at a lean 230 but not much bigger than Foreman.

Wilder is anyone's kryptonite. Arguably the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time. No other fighter can match his hand speed, ring IQ, sense of distance, offensive creativity, footwork and unbreakable defensive skills. Maybe Ali could give him a run for his money, but I would still favor Deontay Wilder.
