Comments Thread For: Gervonta Davis Has No Issue Heading To UK For Walsh Defense

IBF world super featherweight champion Gervonta Davis took to social media as talks gathered pace for his mandatory title defence against Liam Walsh. The 22 year old sensationally dethroned Jose Pedraza back in January to win the world title and throw himself into superstardom in the process.

Walsh will get beaten to a pulp and make UK fans become fans of Tank!

    Kid has a bright future!

Respect to Tank for being ready to go to the UK out of the gate. Too many mfers wanna hoard their title to their backyard. This is a world sport & the UK has a great fanbase that only helps Tank win or lose to Walsh.

Agreed: genuine World champions travel the globe. Take note Diontay Wilder, Andre Ward, Terry Flanigan & Adonis Stevenson ECT!

Fun fact about Wilder he has fought 5 time outside the US 3 in Mexico and once in the UK and Puerto Rico. Not to mention being set to go in Moscow. So Wilder is kind of a bad example for that point.

Point taken, Anthony Joshua should have been on that quote.

Yup. Prime example of how people don't do their homework and spew whatever bile comes to mind.

Nice one, but why would he come over here?

It would be nice to have a potential superstar over here though.

Liam Walsh isn't particularly popular is he?

Other than his misfortune against Pedvetkin, did he fight anyone with a pulse in those away fights?

I seem to remember his fight in the UK was against Audley Harrison, whom we in the UK have been happy to let any other country in the world have ownership of for a very long time.

mmmm yeah.. Anthony joshua fights in a different country with no broadcast deal for that country in his 17th and 18th / first two defenses fight so no money and no exposure. Good one.

If Anthony Joshua has still only fought exclusively in the UK by his 25th fight, I'll give you 50,000,000 points.
